Poshakshala School Outreach Programme
The Poshakshala School Outreach Programme is conducted in accordance with the guidance and directives received from the Department of Higher Education, Government of Chhattisgarh, with the objective of strengthening the linkage between schools and higher education institutions. Under this initiative, faculty members of the college visit nearby schools such as Karhibazar, Pasid, Nipania, Kosmanda, Khaira and Mopka to create awareness about higher education opportunities and encourage students to pursue college education after completing their school studies.
During these visits, professors interact directly with students, teachers, and school authorities to provide detailed information about the college, its vision, academic programmes, admission procedures, scholarship schemes, and student support services. Students are informed about the various undergraduate and postgraduate courses available in the institution, along with the opportunities for academic growth, skill development, and career advancement.
Special emphasis is given to introducing students to the diverse activities and platforms available on the campus, including the National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club, sports and games, cultural activities, literary programmes, environmental awareness initiatives, community service projects, and personality development programmes. Information is also provided regarding the Women Cell, Anti-Ragging Cell, Career Guidance and Placement Services, mentoring system, grievance redressal mechanisms, and other facilities designed to ensure a safe, inclusive, and student-friendly learning environment.
The programme aims to motivate school students to make informed decisions regarding higher education and to familiarize them with the opportunities available within the college. Through direct interaction with faculty members, students gain confidence and a clearer understanding of academic and extracurricular life in higher education institutions.
In addition to educational awareness, the initiative also seeks to enhance student enrollment by showcasing the achievements, infrastructure, academic excellence, and holistic development opportunities offered by the college. Regular visits to schools help establish a strong relationship between the college and neighboring educational institutions, thereby facilitating a smooth transition of students from school to higher education.
